We, like most engine builders, require a core fee to build your engine. This is
because there are many parts which are only available coming off a used motor.
Without a good core coming from you, we need to spend money to find the
needed parts. If all of your parts are usable and we don't need to purchase
anything you will get your full core fee back, however any parts that don't
measure up and need to be purchased separately will deducted from the core
refund. A list of the major parts we are looking for in your core are:
Block
Crank
Con-rods
Original VW heads
Flywheel/flex plate
Pulley
Hardware
other misc items
We are not interested in water pumps, pipes, or any intake items. Keep your AC brackets and all the other stuff. Please note if you turn in a GEX motor you will not receive your core money back as GEX motors are extremely questionable at best. You are best off finding a different engine to turn in as a core.
